Occupational Safety

Occupational safety programs support every employee’s right to work in an environment free of recognized hazards that may cause death or serious physical harm.

The guidelines below were established to reduce risk of injury to Virginia Commonwealth University students and employees.

Workers’ Compensation

The commonwealth of Virginia provides workers’ compensation benefits through a self-insured program administered by the Department of Human Resources Management. For information about workers’ compensation, or to file a claim, visit VCU Human Resources.
