Radioactive Materials
Radioactive materials originating as a byproduct of nuclear fission are regulated by federal and state agencies. The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Office of Radiological Health issues a broad scope radioactive materials license to Virginia Commonwealth University. The VCU Safety and Risk Management Radiation Safety Section has guidelines and forms to maintain compliance with license conditions and applicable regulations for the safe use of radioactive materials.
